Tserin
A natural violet crystal used as the primary source of electrical power in Zenith.
Tserin is a naturally occurring violet crystal, usually found underground. It was first discovered and studied by GPP in the Submine era and remains essential to the technology of Project Zenith.
Appearance and handling
Inactive Tserin is a dull violet-grey solid. It is stable in bulk and can be stored or carried without the dangers associated with its active state. Activated crystals glow purple and can release usable electrical energy.
Energy
Tserin powers Zenith's electrical grid. Activating it consumes no energy, but drawing power permanently increases its instability. Concentrating several active crystals close together adds further stress.
Transformation
Instability cannot be reversed. When a crystal's instability reaches 100, it immediately transforms into Shard-T. Worn crystals must be retired and handled separately from active power systems.
