The Zenith power grid

Zenith’s electrical network, supplied by Tserin and managed through ZCS.

The Zenith power grid supplies electricity to the factories and construction systems operated by Zenith (organization). Its power comes from Tserin; vehicles use a separate fuel supply for transport.

Generation

Active crystals release power through batteries and generators. Stronger energy draw increases Tserin instability. Closely grouped active crystals also add stress to one another.

Distribution

Cables and power poles extend electricity from the landing site to industrial buildings. A remote factory can have its own local power source, reducing the need to carry active crystals across the landscape.

Failure

A depleted supply can shut down equipment and the Zenith Construction System. Restoring power may require manual loading of raw Tserin into a battery. Supervisory failures can leave vulnerable crystals in service long enough to transform into Shard-T.
